McDonald's and Mad Ants Team up to Recognize HS Athletes

Fort Wayne, IN (January 12, 2011) - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants have partnered with McDonald's to present the McDonald's High School Players of the Month. This month McDonald's and the Mad Ants have selected James Blackmon and Miracle Woods. They will be recognized at the Mad Ants game this Sunday, January 15th.
James Blackmon Jr. is a sophomore at Bishop Luers High School and is averaging 29.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. He is committed to play collegiately at Indiana. Blackmon recently led his team with 33 points, 5 assist, and 4 steals in a win over Southside.
Miracle Woods is a senior at Bishop Luers High School and is averaging 17.6 points and 10 rebounds per game. She recently recorded 27 points and 16 rebounds against Washington High School.
McDonald's and the Mad Ants have also teamed up to help collect pop tabs for The Ronald McDonald House. The Mad Ants will be collecting tabs at every Sunday home game this season. Fans who donate tabs will receive a free treat from McDonalds! Everyone who donates will be entered into a drawing to be upgraded to courtside seats at that game.
The Mad Ants take on the Dakota Wizards this Sunday, January 15th Armor in a 5:00pm game at the Memorial Coliseum.
