Everett Silvertips News Release

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Graham Millar's second period power-play goal stood as the eventual game-winner and the Everett Silvertips used a three-goal rally in a 3-2 victory over the host Tri-City Americans, before 5,248 fans at the Toyota Center on Friday.

Starting a stretch of 10 out of 12 games on the road, the Silvertips climbed above .500 on the road with a goal and an assist each from Remi Laurencelle and Dawson Leedahl, while Carter Hart turned in a 22 save effort. Tri-City staged a Teddy Bear Toss event during the game and were shut down after leading 2-0 on a pair of first period power play goals.

Jusso Valimaki, scoring his fifth goal of the season, converted a ricochet over Hart's blocker side shoulder for a 1-0 and over 2,000 teddy bears that were thrown to the ice immediately after the goal was scored. The delay lasted for eight minutes to clear the ice surface, and the Silvertips responded with two high-grade looks, but were unable to convert on Evan Sarthou.

Vladislav Lukin put the Americans up 2-0 with 4:28 left, but the Silvertips wasted no time in establishing a new pace. Laurencelle cut the deficit to 2-1 on the next shift, 16 seconds after Lukin's goal, with a backhander that fooled Sarthou's glove and Leedahl tied the game on a power-play goal, 18:31 into the period.

Leedahl went to the net and deflected Brycen Martin's point shot through Sarthou's five hole - also giving Martin his first point in a Silvertips sweater. In the second period, the Silvertips converted their second power play of the night at 15:09 when Graham Millar won a battle at the net and whipped a rebound past Sarthou for his seventh goal of the year.

Tri-City posted nine shots in the third period but Hart was rarely threatened, who earned his 16th win this season.
