ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades finished off this past week by going 2-1-0. The Everblades head into this week's action with a record of 34-16-2 (70 pts, 2nd South Div.).

THIS WEEK (All Times Eastern)

Tuesday, February 27 vs. Augusta Lynx 7:30 p.m.

GAME NOTES: The Everblades wrap up their four-game home stand with their sixth game vs. the Lynx. It is the second two played between the teams at Germain Arena this season, with the Everblades winning the first 7-2 on Saturday night. Overall this year, the Everblades are 5-0-0 vs. the Lynx.. The Lynx enter this week's action with a record of 30-22-3 (63 pts., 4th South Div.). The Everblades hold an all-time record of 44-12-6 vs. Augusta and are 22-5-3 all-time at home vs. the Lynx.

Friday, March 2 at Augusta Lynx 7:35 p.m.

GAME NOTES: The Everblades make their final visit to James Brown Arena in Augusta on Friday night. This season the Everblades are a perfect 4-0-0 at Augusta.

Saturday, March 3 at Columbia Inferno 7:05 p.m.

GAME NOTES: The Everblades make their final visit to the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia. Overall it is the seventh of nine meetings between the teams. The Everblades hold a 5-1-0 record vs. Columbia this season. The Everblades won the most recent match-up 5-2 on Dec. 17 at Columbia. The Inferno enter this week's action with a record of 20-26-8 (48 pts., 7th, South Div.). The Everblades hold an all-time record of 23-12-6 vs. Columbia and are 10-9-2 all-time on the road at Columbia.

Sunday, March 4 at Charlotte Checkers 4:00 p.m.

GAME NOTES: The Everblades play the third of their four-game road trip in Charlotte on Sunday afternoon. The game is the eighth of 10 between the South Division rivals and is the third of four at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. The Everblades are 5-2-0 vs. Charlotte this season and are 1-1-0 at Charlotte. The Checkers won the most recent meeting 3-2 on Feb. 2 in Charlotte. The Checkers enter this week's action with a record of 29-20-3 (61 pts., 5th, South Div.). The Everblades hold an all-time record of 23-10-2 vs. Charlotte and are 9-8-2 all-time on the road vs. the Checkers.

Wednesday, February 21 vs. Gwinnett Gladiators 5-2 W

The Everblades opened their four-game home stand with a 5-2 win over Gwinnett on Wednesday night. The 'Blades got off to a quick start picking up goals from David Brine and Dustin Johner in the first 15 minutes to carry a 2-0 lead into the first intermission. After Gwinnett came back to tie the game with a pair of second period goals, Jon Lehun notched a short-handed goal and Adam Taylor tallied an even strength marker in the first 15 minutes of the third period. Lehun capped things off with an empty net goal with 13 seconds remaining to seal the win. In net Craig Kowalski back stopped the Everblades to their fourth straight win by turning away 30 of 32 shots. Florida special teams: PP: 1-for-4, PK: 6-for-7.

Friday, February 23 vs. Gwinnett Gladiators 4-2 L

The Everblades dropped a 4-2 decision to the Gladiators on Friday night at Germain Arena. After a scoreless first period, Gwinnett opened the scoring 25 seconds into the middle frame. The Everblades responded with the next two goals. Adam Taylor tallied a power play goal and Derek Damon added an even strength goal 1:11 later, but from the Gwinnett scored the game's next three goals with the eventual game-winner coming late in the second period. In goal, Craig Kowalski saw his personal four-game winning streak come to an end after allowing the four goals on 18 shots. Florida special teams: PP: 1-for-6, PK: 2-for-4.

Saturday, February 24 vs. Augusta Lynx 7-2 W

The Everblades closed out the week with an impressive 7-2 effort over Augusta. The Everblades stormed out of the gate scoring picking up first period goals from David Brine, Derek Damon and Adam Taylor. Augusta scored early in the second period to get on board but Florida scored the game's next three goals to take a 6-1 lead. Brad Zancanaro, Brad Parsons, and Jarret Lukin pcked up the three goals before Augusta notched their second goal. Lukin closed out the scoring with his second of the night with 1:58 remaining in the game. In net Craig Kowalski picked up the win by stopping 44 of 46 shots. Florida special teams: PP: 3-for-8, PK: 4-for-4.

All-Time 'Blades Records: Midway through the season one Everblades all-time mark has been broken and several others are being approached. Brent McDonald became the all-time games played leader on Dec. 8 when he took the ice at Pensacola. His 289th game broke the previous all-time number of 288 held by Tom Buckley. In addition, Reggie Berg became the organization's all-time leader in power play goals when he tallied his 31st all-time on the man advantage on Jan. 26 vs. Gwinnett, breaking Matt Demarski's previous high-water mark of 30. Berg is also only 10 points away from becoming the team's all-time leading point getter, as he chases Buckley's mark of 310.
