Dayton Bombers News Release

BOMBERS NOTES

*Herneisen Heating Up! Bombers forward Matt Herneisen is healthy this season, after missing 24 games last season due to various injuries. Herneisen is really finding his offensive game, recording 10 points (5 G, 5A) in his last 10 games.

*Tifu's Tearing It Up! Leading scorer Yannick Tifu has 23 points (9 G, 14 A) in his last 20 games. Although his 11 game points streak came to an end this past week, Tifu is still on a nine game road points streak and has 14 points (7 G, 7 A) in those nine road games. He leads the team in scoring with 53 points (18 G, 35A) this season.

*Power Outage! The power play has been a big key for the Bombers this season. They are 18-7-4 when scoring a power play goal and 6-13-0 when they do not score on the power play. Right now the power play numbers are inconsistent because the Bombers are 5/51(.09) over their last eight games (2-6-0). Also factoring in on the success of the team is the penalty kill. The Bombers are 14-4-3 when they do not allow the opponent to score on the power play.

*Let's See Those Numbers Again! The Bombers are 10-0-0 when holding their opponent to one goal or less (Includes Adam Berkhoel's club record five shutouts) and are 20-4-3 when scoring three or more goals in a game (7-0-0 when scoring five goals or more).

* Bombs Away! The Bombers have out shot their opponents in 37 of 48 games played in this season and have fired 40 shots on goal in 11 of those 37 games (6-4-1 record). They are currently ranked 6th in the ECHL averaging 34.06 shots for per game and lead the league in least shots against at 26.58 allowed per game.
