Nailers Add Depth and Toughness

Wheeling, WV- The Wheeling Nailers, the 'AA' affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, announce today they have signed forward David Mitchell.

Mitchell, a native of Miramichi, New Brunswick, has spent the entirety of this season with the Richmond Renegades of the Southern Professional Hockey League.

He has registered four goals, three assists and 167 penalty minutes in 41 games.

The 6-foot-2, 225-pound bruiser brings toughness and a winning attitude to the Nailers as they prepare for their playoff push.

The Nailers next game is Wednesday, February 28 when they travel to Toledo to take on the Storm. They return home for a three game home stand this weekend, playing host to the Dayton Bombers, Johnstown Chiefs and Reading Royals.
