Everblades make changes to roster

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush, along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward Adam Bartholomay has been signed to a contract and that defensemen Jordan Henry and Frank MacDonald have been re-called to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Bartholomay joins the Everblades after spending the past two seasons at the collegiate level with the University of Nebraska-Omaha. The 24-year-old played as a defenseman during his two seasons at UNO and notched 19 points (10g, 9a) in 30 games with the Mavericks last season. After red-shirting for his freshman year in 2004-05, the Agoura Hills, California native tallied 18 points (9g, 9a) in 34 games in 2005-06 with Nebraska-Omaha.

Prior to playing at the collegiate level, Bartholomay spent three seasons at the junior level with Topeka and Lincoln (NE) of the United States Hockey League. As a forward, Bartholomay notched 122 points (63g, 59a) in 178 career USHL games, including leading his team in scoring in 2003-04 with the Lincoln Stars after posting 48 points in 59 games.

In separate moves, the Florida Panthers re-called Henry and MacDonald to their AHL affiliate in Rochester. Henry, a rookie, has one goal in six games with the Everblades this season. His one goal was the first of his professional career and came on Oct. 28 at Texas. MacDonald heads back to the AHL with three points (1g, 2a) in seven games with the Everblades this season. The second-year pro returns to Rochester where he skated in 11 games last season, registering two assists.

In addition, the team activated defenseman Steve Ward from the 3-day injured reserve list. Ward has two assists in four games with the Everblades this season.
