Everblades Kinkel called up to AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward Bill Kinkel has been called up by the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.

Kinkel, 22, heads to the River Rats having played in 25 games with the Everblades this season. The Buffalo, NY native did not register a point in that span, but did compile 95 penalty minutes. The trip to the AHL is the third in Kinkel's career, having skated with the Houston Aeros in 56 games last season, and playing in 12 games in 2004-05 with the Aeros.

Overall the former 9th round draft pick by the New Jersey Devils in 2002 has 13 points (9g, 4a) and 505 PIM in 123 career games dating back to 2004-05. Prior to joining the pro ranks Kinkel spent three seasons at the junior level with Kitchener and Kingston of the Ontario Hockey League, scoring 51 points (23g, 28a) in 184 games.
