Jeff Goldbach had six hits including three homeruns and Rickey Clinton added a grand slam as part of a record offensive performance, beating the River City Rascals 28-6.

The Otters scored in every inning but the ninth, setting a high water mark of eight in the fourth inning. Evansville also batted around three times in the contest.

Four players had at least four hits for the Otters as Frank Scott went 5-for-6. Nick Shay went 5-for-6 with his first two professional homers. Rickey Clinton went 4-for-4 by the end of the fourth inning with two singles, a double, a grand slam and four RBI.

The night belonged to Jeff Goldbach, however. Goldbach was on base seven times in the game, six of them via the base hit. The Otters DH hit three homers, tying a league record and finished one RBI shy of the league record, tallying eight in the contest.

Chris Pillsbury (6-7) won the game for Evansville. By pitching three innings, Andrew Jefferson picked up his second save. Tony Marsala (4-3) took the loss for River City.

The series wraps tomorrow with a good pitching matchup. Cody Blackard (6-3) goes for the Otters against Aaron Ledbetter (11-3) for the Rascals. Game time is 6:05 p.m. and can be heard on 91.5, WUEV.
