Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Eskimos announced today the signing of All-Star kicker/punter Sean Fleming. In keeping with club policy, terms of the deal have not been released.

The 32-year-old Fleming is entering his 12th CFL season - all of them with the Eskimos. In 2002, Fleming was named to the CFL All-Star team for the first time his career and was a CFL West All-Star for the second consecutive season. Fleming was good on 34 of 42 field goal attempts and had an average of 42.6 yards per punt. He finished the year with 171 points.

On his decision to re-sign with the Eskimos, Fleming says "The Eskimos are building a team that will be very good for years to come and I want to be part of that. Edmonton is a special place to play and work and I'm excited about the future."

"On the field, Sean Fleming gives the Eskimos a chance to be successful every game. He's hard working and consistent," says Eskimo Head Coach Tom Higgins. "Off the field, Sean has taken a leadership role in the community through his charity work and he represents the club exceptionally well."
