VANCOUVER, B.C. Monday, February 3rd, 2002 -- BC Lions General Manager and Head Coach, Wally Buono, today named Steve Buratto as Offensive Coordinator of the BC Lions.

"Steve's contribution to the BC Lions organization speaks for itself," said Buono. His experience and respect from the players will go a long way to improving the offence and our football club."

Buratto will continue his involvement with the BC Lions as offensive coordinator for the upcoming 2003 season. After a head-coaching stop in Calgary in 1984-85, Buratto rejoined BC in 1986, and enjoyed stints as both the co-offensive coordinator, and the defensive coordinator.
