VANCOUVER, B.C. Monday, February 3, 2003 -- BC Lions General Manager and Head Coach, Wally Buono, today announced Dan Dorazio as Offensive Line Coach of the BC Lions.

"We are very pleased to have Dan join the BC Lions as offensive line coach," said Buono. "His intensity, work ethic and CFL experience will be invaluable to our club for the upcoming 2003 season."

Dan will be entering his sixth CFL season with the BC Lions as offensive line coach after spending five years in the Calgary Stampeder organization holding the same title.

In 1972, Dan began his coaching career with Kent State, coaching the team's tight ends. Between 1978 and 1982 Dorazio coached at a number of schools: The University of Hawaii, San Jose State, The University of Washington, The University of Northern Iowa and Georgia Tech. In 1984, Dan returned to Washington as their offensive line coach; a position he held for five years.

In 1989, Dorazio moved to Holy Cross to take up a vacant offensive coordinator position for two years. In 1992, Dan moved again to the University of Maryland where he was offensive coordinator and line coach for four seasons. Boston University then beckoned Dan for a season, after which he joined the Stampeders in the CFL.

Dorazio hails from Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Kent State in 1974 with a B.A. in education.
