
Eskimos release two as roster deadline approaches

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos announced today that Ja'Mar Toombs (FB-Import) and Robert Knight (DL-Import) have been released. All CFL clubs must reduce their rosters to 39 players (19 Canadians, 17 imports and 3 quarterbacks) by 1:00 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, June 22.
The Eskimos held a brief run-down today following Thursday night's 52 - 41 win over the defending Grey Cup champion Calgary Stampeders at Commonwealth Stadium. The Eskimos and Stampeders will open the 2002 CFL regular season next Friday night in Calgary.
