Renegades Make Roster Moves

OTTAWA – Friday, June 21, 2002 – The Ottawa Renegades have reduced their roster today, as ten players have been released.

The ten players released, along with position, status, age, height, weight, and university, are as follows:

- Marcus Wiggins (linebacker, import, 27, 6'1", 215, Tuskegee)

- Dan Giancola (kicker, non-import, 29, 5'10", 200, Buffalo Warriors)

- Rashad Bartholomew (running back, import, 23, 5'11", 212, Yale)

- Jesús Reyes (wide receiver, import, 25, 5'6", 180, San Diego State)

- Chris Evraire (wide receiver, non-import, 29, 5'11", 187, Ottawa)

- Brian Johnson (defensive end, import, 23, 6'2", 280, New Mexico)

- Maurice Gordon (defensive end, import, 23, 6'2", 265, Texas)

- Marcus Washington (linebacker, import, 32, 6'3", 216, Colorado)

- Keaton Cromartie (defensive end, import, 26, 6'2", 245, Tulane)

- Terrance Parrish (defensive back, import, 25, 5'10", 201, Southern Miss.)

Of the ten players released, three or four could remain with the club via the practice roster. Two additional changes are expected by tomorrow as the ‘Gaders add the newly acquired Darren Davis and Donnie Ashley to the roster.

The regular season kicks off on Friday, June 28 against the visiting Saskatchewan Roughriders at Frank Clair Stadium. Game time is 7:00 pm.
