LAKEWOOD, N.J. - A gift run by the Greensboro Grasshoppers capped a BlueClaws comeback from 4-1 down to win their third straight game, 5-4.

Gauntlett Eldemire stood on first base with two outs in the 7th inning when Brian Pointer hit a lazy fly ball to right field. Greensboro's right fielder James Wooster settled under the ball to make the catch, but the ball landed next to him. Eldemire was already racing around third base by the time Wooster picked it up for the go-ahead run. The run was Eldemire's third scored in the game as he finished 1-for-2 with two walks.

Colby Shreve earned the win for Lakewood with 3.2 innings of hitless, shutout baseball in relief of starting pitcher Ervis Manzanillo. Shreve entered the game when it was tied 4-4 in the 6th inning. There was one out and two runners on base, but Shreve induced an inning-ending double play from catcher Wilfredo Gimenez to preserve the tied ballgame.

Manzanillo allowed four runs in the 3rd inning after the BlueClaws had jumped out to an early 1-0 lead. The BlueClaws scored once in the bottom of the 3rd and twice in the 4th to tie the ballgame 4-4.

With the win, the BlueClaws- now 6-6- improve their record to .500 for the first time since the second game of the season in when they were 1-1 and are currently riding a three-game winning streak.

The BlueClaws begin a three-game series against Greensboro starting Monday at FirstEnergy Park. Lakewood's Mike Nesseth (1-1, 6.23 ERA) will battle Greensboro Jose Fernandez (1-0, 1.64 ERA). Gates for Tuesday's game open at 5:30 p.m. with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
