Eriksson Returns to Comets

Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Michael D. Gillis announced today that the Canucks have assigned goaltender Joacim Eriksson to the American Hockey League's Utica Comets.

Eriksson, 23, has played in 20 games with Utica this season, building a record of 8-10-1, a 0.907 save percentage and a 2.77 GAA. The 6'1", 189-pound goaltender has also posted two shutouts this season.

The Gavle, Sweden, native signed with Vancouver as a free agent on June 17, 2013.

In addition, Comets' Director of Hockey Operations, Pat Conacher, announced that goaltender Mathieu Corbeil has been reassigned to the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL.
