Today, the SeaWolves look to make it back-to-back wins and a series victory as they take on the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants) in the rubber game of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the SeaWolves belted out 14 runs on 19 hits (season-high) as they snapped a seven-game losing streak to Richmond. It was Erie's first win over the Squirrels since May 23, the first meeting between the two clubs. Erie has only won two straight games in July once...Righty Brooks Brown takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 10th start and second against Richmond. He took a loss against the Flying Squirrels on June 26 in Richmond allowing a season-high nine runs in 2.1 innings of work. Brown took a loss in his last start against Akron on July 22. In the game, he allowed five runs on 11 hits with no walks and four strikeouts. Erie lost the game 6-5...Righty Justin Fitzgerald takes the mound for the Flying Squirrels making his 20th start and second against the SeaWolves. He beat Erie on May 25 in Richmond tossing seven shutout innings allowing five hits. Fitzgerald earned a win in his last start against Harrisburg on July 22. In the game, he allowed a run on three hits with no walks and two strikeouts in six innings of work. The righty has allowed more than three earned runs just once since June 16. He is 1-1 with a 2.45 ERA in four July starts...The SeaWolves hit the road for a four-game weekend series in Akron before returning on Tuesday for another six game homestand.
