Today, the SeaWolves look for a series win as they take on the Reading Phillies (Philadelphia Phillies) in the final game of a four-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Yesterday, the 'Wolves won their fourth extra innings game as they took down the Phillies 6-5 in 10. The win put the SeaWolves at three games under .500 heading into play on Monday. With Harrisburg sweeping its doubleheader on Sunday, the 'Wolves a season-low five games out of first place in a fourth place tie in the EL West...The Phillies boast the top batting average in the EL (271) and are the top scoring team (241 runs). Reading is in fourth place in the Eastern Division, 7.5 games out of first...Today, righty Luke Putkonen makes his 10th start and second against Reading. He was roughed up in his last start against the Phillies on April 27 allowing nine runs, seven earned, on eight hits in three innings of work. Putkonen took his sixth loss of the season in his last start at Richmond. In the game, he allowed five runs on seven hits with two walks and a strikeout in five innings of work. Erie lost the game 6-3...LHP Ryan Edell takes the mound for the Phillies making his 10th start and third against the SeaWolves. He has taken three straight no-decisions. In his last start, Edell allowed two runs on six hits with a walk and six strikeouts in six innings of work. He is 1-0 with a no-decision in two starts against the 'Wolves this season. Edell is 3-0 with a no-decision in four road starts with a 5.64 ERA...The SeaWolves will head to Binghamton following today's game for a brief three-day road trip.
