Tonight, the SeaWolves look for their second straight series win as they take on the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox) in the rubber game of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the SeaWolves banged out 11 runs on 14 hits en route to an 11-3 win over Portland. Erie has now won three of its last four games and the team is a game under .500 entering play tonight. Erie has outhit Portland 29-11 in the first two games of the series. The 'Wolves are four games behind first place Harrisburg and a game behind second place Bowie. The entire EL Western Division is separated by just 4.5 games...Righty Brooks Brown takes the mound for Erie making his second start since returning from the disabled list. Brown took a loss in his last start at New Britain allowing four runs on six hits with two walks and a strikeout. He faced Portland once in 2010 and picked up a win tossing a complete game at Hadlock Field on June 17...Righty Alex Wilson takes the mound for Portland making his 13th start of the season. Wilson took a loss in his last outing against Richmond allowing four runs on five hits with two walks and two strikeouts in five innings. Wilson is 2-3 with a 3.46 ERA in five road starts. He made one start against Erie last season and allowing seven runs on eight hits in three innings of work in a losing effort...Erie is in a stretch of 13 consecutive game and 18 of 21 against the Eastern Division. The 'Wolves are also in a stretch where the club will play 29 games in a span on 28 days with a doubleheader on 5/28 vs. BNG...Erie has lost just one home series this season and that was April 21-23 when the team dropped two of three against Bowie.

- The season series between Erie and Portland is tied 1-1. The SeaWolves and Sea Dogs meet six times in 2011.- Defensively, the SeaWolves have committed 60 errors which is fourth-most in the EL. - The SeaWolves are 23-22 in night games and 8-10 in day games.- Erie's pitching staff is ninth in the league with a 4.19 team ERA.
