The SeaWolves look to extend their longest winning streak of the season and are looking for a series sweep as they take on the New Britain Rock Cats (Minnesota Twins) in the final game of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the SeaWolves fell behind 2-0 but managed to rally, tying the game at 2-2 before eventually winning on a Brent Wyatt walkoff home run in the bottom of the ninth. The 'Wolves finally broke through winning their fifth straight after five unsuccessful attempts at a five-game winning streak. Yesterday's win also puts the SeaWolves at four games under .500... Tonight, lefty Jay Voss takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 13th start and second against the Rock Cats. He beat New Britain on June 11. Voss earned his sixth win in his last start on July 29 at Akron. He shut out the Aeros for seven innings, allowing three hits with four walks and two strikeouts. Erie won the game 1-0...Left hander Blake Martin takes the mound for New Britain making his 16th appearance and seventh start. Martin began the season with Class-A Fort Myers making 13 relief appearances going 2-0 with a save and a 3.09 ERA. He tossed two scoreless innings in relief against Erie on June 11. Martin took a loss in his last outing, a start against Bowie. In the game, he allowed a run on five hits with three walks and three strikeouts in five innings of work...The SeaWolves continue a six-game homestand on Friday night as they host the Harrisburg Senators for three games over the weekend.
