Tonight, the SeaWolves look to avoid back-to-back losses as they take on the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets) in the opener of a four game series at Jerry Uht Park. Yesterday afternoon, the 'Wolves fell 6-3 to the Altoona Curve in the rubber game of the series. The loss pushed Erie back to a season-high 21 games under .500. The 'Wolves and B-Mets split a four-game series last weekend at NYSEG Stadium. Erie limited the heavy hitting Mets to a run in two of the four games and held the Mets to three or fewer in three of the four. Erie is 2-2 against the Binghamton at Jerry Uht Park. Tonight, lefty Duane Below makes his 21th start of the season and second against the Mets. Below has taken losses in three straight starts and is 0-4 with two no-decisions in his last six. Below took a loss in a rain-filled game in his last start at Binghamton. He allowed five runs on three hits with two walks and no strikeouts. Binghamton took down the 'Wolves in that game 13-8...Righty Chris Schwinden takes the mound for the Mets. His last start was cut short due to rain in the same game. He allowed two runs on one hit with two walks and no strikeouts in a no-decision.
