Tonight, the SeaWolves wrap up an eight-game homestand as they look for a series win in the final game of a four-game series against the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, Akron scored two late runs and snapped Erie's four-game winning streak with a 7-6 win over the âWolves. The loss dropped Erie to a game over .500 at 41-40 but they remain in third place in the EL West, 6.5 games behind first place Harrisburg and one game back of wild card leading Richmond...Tonight, lefty Jay Voss takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his eighth start and first against Akron. Voss took a loss in his last start in game one of a doubleheader against Binghamton on June 28. In the game, he allowed five runs, three earned, on nine hits with no walks and five strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work. The SeaWolves lost the game 6-3...RHP Austin Adams takes the mound for the Aeros making his 16th start and first against the SeaWolves. Adams took a no-decision in his last start against Bowie allowing two runs on six hits with a walk and six strikeouts in seven innings of work. Adams has worked seven innings in two of his last three starts. The SeaWolves are one of 90 Minor League Baseball teams wearing Stars and Stripes Caps over the next three games.
