ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves meet the Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals) in the rubber game of a three-game series at Metro Bank Park. The Senators won the second game of the series last night with a 7-6 come from behind victory. It was the third time on the road trip and the second time of the series where the SeaWolves lost a lead after the seventh inning. Erie won the first game of the series in 10 innings after allowing the Senators to tie the game in the ninth inning but were not as fortunate last night as the Sens plated one in the eighth and one in the ninth for the win. The loss dropped the SeaWolves to two games under .500 on the road at 10-12. Erie is in second place in the Southern Division, six games behind first place Akron and a game ahead of third place Reading. Akron and Reading split a doubleheader this morning. Erie's 26-19 record is the second best in the league behind Akron who holds the top mark in the league at 32-13. The ‘Wolves will meet the first place Aeros in a three-game weekend series beginning tomorrow night...Righty Alfredo Figaro takes the mound for the Howlers, making his eighth start of the season and third against the Senators. He is 1-0 with a no-decision in two starts vs. the Sens. Figaro took a no-decision in his last outing against Akron going five innings, allowing five runs on eight hits with a walk and two strikeouts. He left the game leading but Erie could not hold on to a one-run lead...Righty Adrian Alaniz takes the mound for Harrisburg. Alaniz makes his seventh start and third against Erie. He has a pair of no-decisions against Erie. Alaniz took a loss in his last start against Bowie going just three innings.

- Erie leads the season series over Harrisburg 7-5. The SeaWolves and Senators meet 21 times in 2009.
