Altoona Curve News Release
ALTOONA, Pa - The Altoona Curve will be adding a little bit for the young and a little for the more seasoned by offering two new promotions in the month of June. The Curve are introducing "Facebook Friday" and "Land of Lincoln" nights to help fans save big as the weather heats up.
The first promotion begins on Friday, June 5. On "Facebook Friday", "fans" of the Altoona Curve, who utilize the team's new page on Facebook, can receive $2 off any ticket AND be guaranteed the Diesel Dawg Bank giveaway item with a ticket purchase. The offer is limited to the first 500 tickets purchased by Facebook fans and those fans must be present at the June 5 game to receive their giveaway. Tickets must be ordered by Thursday, June 4. Fans can sign up or become a "friend" of the Curve's facebook page by logging on to AltoonaCurve.com and clicking the facebook link on the left hand side of the website.
"We've had an amazing response to our new page on Facebook since launching it last week," said Curve General Manager Rob Egan. "So, we wanted to reward fans of our page with an offer that saves them money on tickets and guarantees them a great giveaway."
On Thursday, June 18, the Curve will be honoring all things Lincoln as it will be the "Land of Lincoln" night at Blair County Ballpark. On this night, fans can enjoy any and all of these great offers:
- Buy One Rail King, Diamond Club, or Terrace seat and get a second one for $5.
- Buy One General Admission Ticket for $5 and get a second one for 1 cent.
- $5 Merchandise Specials at the Curve Stockyard and Caboose Stores at Blair Co. Ballpark.

"Yes, we know Illinois has dibs on the nickname," said Egan. "But Brad (Lincoln, Curve starting pitcher) is making Altoona the new âLand of Lincoln'. To honor him and the currency with the likeness of our 13th President, we're going to have some special offers that involve the five dollar bill and the penny. One lucky fan will also walk off with a prize pack of items autographed by Brad."
