Today, the Erie SeaWolves try to break a two-game skid against the Altoona Curve in the series finale at PNG Field. Last night was postponed due to rain and will be made up on July 23 in Altoona. Tarik Skubal tries to get the 'Wolves back in the win column and is making his Double-A debut. The left-hander was promoted from Class-A (Adv) Lakeland on July 5 after logging a 4-5 record and 2.58 ERA in 15 starts. Skubal struck out 97 in 80.1 innings while walking 19 and holding opponents to a .209 batting average against. In his last five starts with the Flying Tigers, the 22-year old surrendered just two earned runs in 30 innings (0.60 ERA). Domingo Robles is making his eighth start of the season for the Curve and first against Erie. The left-hander was promoted to Altoona on May 28 and is coming off of a loss in his last outing on July 2 at Akron. Robles allowed five earned runs on five hits in 2.1 innings. The 21-year old was signed as an international free agent by Pittsburgh as a 16-year old from the Dominican Republic.
