ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

The SeaWolves hit the road once again as they take the field tonight in game one of a four game set at Canal Park against the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians). The ‘Wolves dropped three of four to Bowie this week and the team currently sits in fifth place in the Southern Division, 12 games behind first place Harrisburg. Yesterday, Erie trailed 4-3 heading into the final three innings of the game, but the bullpen could not keep the game close, yielding seven runs in the seventh and eighth innings. Erie's pen gave up 15 runs in the four games against the Bayosx...The Aeros have won four straight and seven of their last 10 games to get above .500 at 22-21. Akron is 5.5 games behind Harrisburg in third place in the South...The ‘Wolves send leftie Jon Connolly to the bump, making his sixth start of the season and his first against Akron. Connolly has dropped three straight games since returning to the ‘Wolves from Triple-A Toledo. In his last start at Binghamton, Connolly threw just four innings, allowing seven runs, six earned, on 10 hits...RHP Jake Westbook joins the Aeros to make a rehab appearance. Westbook is making his second rehab appearance since going on the disabled list on April 22 with a left intercostal strain. He appeared for Cleveland's Class-A affiliate, Lake County on May 18. In the game, he wen 3.2 innings, allowing a run on three hits with a walk and four strikeouts. A rain delay forced Westbrook to pitch in the bullpen to reach his pitch count for the rehab appearance.
