Toronto Argonauts News Release

Mississauga - The Toronto Argonauts Football Club would like to congratulate DE Eric England on earning CFL Lineman of the Week honours.

England played a tenacious game against the Argos' division rivals, the Montreal Alouettes, in the CFL's final week. He led both teams with 7 defensive tackles and made a key quarterback sack in the fourth quarter. England has played a very strong second half of the season. His outstanding play on the d-line has jammed the opposition, forcing them to avoid the pass and putting pressure on the quarterback. This is the second time this season that England has earned Lineman of the Week and the fourth time in his career.

The Toronto Argonauts would also like to congratulate SB Arland Bruce III for earning runner-up honours for the CFL Offensive Player of the Week. Bruce had 6 receptions for 124 yards and 1 touchdown.

The Toronto Argonauts are North America's oldest professional football club, having celebrated their 130th anniversary in 2003. The Toronto Argonauts have 15 Grey Cup championships to their credit.
