Toronto, ON (November 1, 2006) - The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today the Rogers CFL Players of the Week #20 as selected by members of the Canadian football broadcasters.

Offensive Player of the Week

RB - Robert Edwards - Montreal Alouettes

Montreal Alouettes 24 @ Toronto Argonauts 20

Highlights / Key Stats:

Robert Edwards capped-off a fourth quarter comeback with an eight-yard touchdown, helping the Alouettes to a 24-20 victory over the Toronto Argonauts, clinching first place in the East for the sixth time in eight years. Edwards had 19 carries for 93 yards. His 17 touchdowns this season are a League-best.

Defensive Player of the Week

S - Barron Miles - B.C. Lions

Winnipeg Blue Bombers 16 @ B.C. Lions 26

Highlights / Key Stats:

The defensive play of Barron Miles helped the Lions wrap up the regular season with their 13th victory of the year, tying a club best. Miles returned an interception 16 yards, recovered a fumble, knocked down two passes and had a pair of tackles. The nine-year CFL veteran finished the season with a career-high 10 interceptions, the most in the League.

Miles also blocked a punt on special teams, the ninth blocked kick of his career, ranking him second all-time next to Gerald Vaughn (12).

Lineman of the Week

DL - Eric England - Toronto Argonauts

Highlights / Key Stats:

Eric England 's strong performance against the Alouettes has earned him Rogers CFL Lineman of the Week honours for the second time this season. England had seven tackles and a quarterback sack in Toronto's regular season finale.

Special Teams Player of the Week

KR - Dominique Dorsey - Saskatchewan Roughriders

Saskatchewan Roughriders 18 @ Edmonton Eskimos 20

Highlights / Key Stats:

For the second consecutive week and third time this year, Dominique Dorsey has earned Rogers CFL Special Teams Player of the Week honours. In Saskatchewan's final regular season game, Dorsey returned four punts for 64 yards including a 49-yarder that setup a touchdown. Dorsey also returned three kickoffs for 49 yards.
