(Vancouver) Returning an interception for 16 yards which led to a Lions TD, recovering a fumble, knocking down two passes, and adding two tackles to lead the BC Lions to a 26-16 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, has earned safety Barron Miles his second CFL Rogers Defensive Player of the Week award for 2006. His second weekly award comes in addition to his Defensive Player of the Month honours for June/July.

A three-time CFL All-Star, Miles also blocked a punt on special teams, the ninth of his career, ranking second all-time next to Gerald Vaughn (12). A nine-year CFL veteran, Miles finished the 2006 season on a high note with a career-high 10 interceptions to lead the CFL.
