B.C. Lions News Release
(Vancouver) - The battle for a home playoff date is heating up, as the BC Lions welcome in the Saskatchewan Roughriders for a huge Friday Night Football clash. Kickoff is 7:30 pm at Save-On-Foods Field at BC Place.
The sixth annual Orange Shirt Day Game is presented by Prospera and LiUNA! Local 1611 and supported by FortisBC, Leavitt Machinery and BC Hydro.
This big battle also represents the beginning of Friday Night Lions presented by Rec Room. When the weather gets cool, the party heats up!
As the Lions continue their march to the Grey Cup Playoffs, BC Place transforms into 'dark mode' with an arena-style show featuring smoke-style intros and pyrotechnics. The new in-game features combine football, nightlife and entertainment to kick off the weekend in style.
As we aim to transform the stadium into a Sea of Orange, the first 10,000 fans will receive an Orange T-Shirt featuring the club's Indigenous-themed logo.
The fun gets going at 4:00 pm with the Backyard Party on Terry Fox Plaza. The entertainment includes a performance from DJ Kookum, facepainting, $5 beers and the early game featuring the Blue Bombers and Argonauts on the big screen.
