
Energy Use Second Half Surge to Roll Past Skyforce 96-89

DES MOINES, IA - The Iowa Energy outscored Sioux Falls 61-37 in the second half to overcome a seventeen point halftime on their way to a weekend sweep of the Skyforce.
Sioux Falls jumped out to a 52-35 lead at the break behind 11 points from Mychel Thompson.
The Energy rallied in the 3rd quarter, outscoring Sioux Falls 34-18 to narrow the lead to one at 70-69. Guard Justin Hurtt scored 13 points in the quarter to fuel the Energy's charge.
The final period was all Iowa as the home team took the lead on a Paul Harris layup to start the quarter, and never trailed again as the season-high Energy crowd cheered the team to victory.
Hurtt led all scorers with 24 points while Paul Harris (16 points, 11 rebounds) and Jarrid Famous (14 points, 10 rebounds) added double-doubles for Iowa.
Andre Barrett and James Mays each scored 17 points for Sioux Falls. Mays pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds.
