
Bighorns Drop Second-Straight to Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA - The Reno Bighorns' (13-28) kept it close all night against the NBA D-League best Bakersfield Jam (29-12) but were unable to close it out, falling 104-94.
The Jam shot 45.7% from the field on 37-81 shooting, compared to just 36.3% for the Bighorns. The Bighorns went 33-91 from the floor.
The Bighorns were led by Samardo Samuels 19 points. Orien Greene recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Ronald Dupree and Tajuan Porter each scored 18 points.
Bakersfield had six players score in double figures, with Jerel McNeal's 20 points leading the way. James Nunnally had 14 points, Brian Butch and Quincy Acy each scored 13, and Renaldo Major had 11. Damion James chipped in 10 points.
Reno was again out-rebounded by Bakersfield 52-35.
The Bighorns return home on Thursday, March 21 to take on the Los Angeles D-Fenders. Reno will face Idaho on Saturday, March 23 and Texas on Sunday, March 24.
