Energy Sign Former Iowa State Cyclone Chris Allen
April 5, 2013 - NBA G League (G League)
Iowa Wolves News Release
DES MOINES, IA March 5, 2013- The Iowa Energy have signed former Iowa State Cyclone guard Chris Allen. The move was announced today by Energy General Manager Chris Makris.
Allen, who averaged 12.2 points per game on 37% three-point shooting for the Cyclones during the 2011-12 season, most recently played in Israel for Maccabi Ashdod.
"Chris is a player that we want to get a closer look at in the future. We love having a former Cyclone on the roster and he played well in Israel earlier this season, so it was an easy decision to sign him from the waiver wire," said Makris
With only one game remaining for the Energy, Allen is not expected to join the team this year. The Energy will retain his right for next season.
The Energy conclude their regular season with a home game Saturday vs Sioux Falls. That game features the "Red Panda Acrobat" performing at halftime. For tickets, visit www.IowaNBA.com.
