Energy Look To Clinch D-League Eastern Conference Championship Tonight
March 19, 2010 - NBA G League (G League)
Iowa Wolves News Release
Des Moines, IA, Mar. 19, 2010 - The Iowa Energy can clinch the NBA D-League Eastern Conference regular season championship tonight as they host Sioux Falls at 7 PM at Wells Fargo Arena. The Energy, who have led the conference the entire season, enter the game with a 33-11 record. Sioux Falls is currently in second place in the East with a 27-16 record, 5.5 games behind Iowa.
Iowa won the D-League's Central Division last season with a 28-22 record. The league switch from a three-division setup to a two-conference set up this season. In addition to leading the Eastern Conference, Iowa currently has the best record in the entire league. Ending the season with the best record would provide the Energy with not only home-court advantage throughout the playoffs, but would also allow the team first selection among first-round opponents.
Sioux Falls has had the upper hand against Iowa recently, leading the season series 3-1 including a weekend sweep of the Energy in Des Moines last month.
Tickets for all children 12 & under are just $5 both Friday and Saturday nights. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.dahlstickets.com or visiting the Wells Fargo Arena box office.
