Kent Benson To Attend Mad Ants Final Home Game

Fort Wayne, IN (March 19, 2010)- The Fort Wayne Mad Ants are proud to announce that Indiana University legendary center, Kent Benson, will be a part of the Mad Ants final home game celebrations this Sunday, March 21st at 5:00pm.

Benson is best known for leading the 1976 undefeated Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team to a National Championship, where he averaged 17.3 points and 8.8 rebounds a game for the season. One of the best ever to put on an Indiana jersey, Kent ended his college career with 1,740 points, 1,031 rebounds and finished with a 71.5 free throw and 53.6 field goal percentage. He is currently the number two rebounder in school history.

The Mad Ants will be offering an exclusive meet and greet with Benson to any Indiana University Alumni from 4:30-4:45pm as well as discounted tickets to the game. To be a part of this special night, IU Alumni can order tickets by calling the Mad Ants office at (260) 469-HOOP (4667).

The Mad Ants will also be presenting Benson with a special recognition just prior to tip-off, and Kent will also address all those who are in attendance. Other final game celebrations include nationally renowned Half-time act Quick Change, naming of the season's MVP, and an autograph session from all 10 players and Madame Ants immediately following the game.

The team will complete the 2009-2010 season at home by taking on the Albuquerque Thunderbirds at 5:00pm at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Tickets are still available and can be ordered on ticketmaster.com or by calling the Coliseum box office at (260) 483-1111.
