Energy Host Opening Night on Saturday

DES MOINES, IA, December 13, 2013 - The Iowa Energy will host its Opening Night game on Saturday, December 14 at Wells Fargo Arena at 7 PM. The Energy will play the NBA D-League's newest team, the Delaware 87ers. The game will feature $2 beer, team ACRODunk will perform at halftime, and the first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive an Energy t-shirt.

The $2 beer promotion will be the feature at all Saturday home games throughout the season, and will run from one hour before the game through the end of the first quarter.

The Energy will also honor the Grand View Vikings Football team. The team is currently ranked second in NAIA and are 13-0 heading into the championship game against top ranked University of the Cumberlands. The Championship game will be played next Saturday, December 21 at 3:30.
