Elmira Jackals Sign Brandon Blandina

ELMIRA, N.Y. - January 10, 2013 - The Elmira Jackals announced today that they have signed forward Brandon Blandina. It is the rookie's second go-around with the team this season after initially signing in the off-season.

Blandina, 23, began the campaign with the Jackals and logged three points (1G, 2A) in seven games. His first professional goal came in a Jackals uniform on October 13 in a 7-1 win over the Greenville Road Warriors. The 6-0, 200-pound center was claimed off of waiver from Elmira by Reading on November 14, 2012 and went on to play four games for the Royals from November 16 to December 22.

Prior to turning pro, Blandina played four seasons at Robert Morris University. He finished with 38 points (11G, 27A) in 133 games with the Colonials.
