ELMIRA, N.Y. - January 12, 2013 - The Elmira Jackals embark on the second half of their 2012-13 season tonight with a home date against the Evansville IceMen. The Jackals are looking to win three in a row for the first time since late November.

The Jackals are facing the IceMen tonight for the third of four meetings this season and second of two at First Arena. The Jackals are 2-0-0 against the IceMen thanks to a 6-3 win in Evansville on December 28 and last night's OT triumph. The Jackals came back from down 2-0 to win each of the two games and have climbed out of such a hole to win four times this season. The Jackals' offense has been clicking along at an average of 4.25 goals per game over their last eight (6-2-0). They will try to keep it rolling against an Evansville squad that has surrendered the most goals in the Eastern Conference (second most in the league) at 138.
Dustin Gazley missed six games from late November to mid-December while dealing with an injury. He was held off the scoresheet when he returned for the Jackals' home game against Orlando on Dec. 14, but he bounced back to the tune of four assists the next night against Trenton and has been hard to contain since. The reigning rookie of the year has points in 11 of his last 13 games and is riding an nine-game point streak (5G, 10A). Last week became the sixth Jackal to earn an ECHL All-Star bid.
