The win gives the Jaxx a two game to one lead in the series and keeps West Tenn in a tie atop the Southern League North, with Tennessee. Diamond Jaxx starter, Dan Cortes struck out a season high 10 batters in a no decision, becoming the first Jaxx pitcher to strike out 10 in a game. Cortes surrendered a pair of runs on four hits in his eighth start for West Tenn. Greg Halman blasted his third homer of the series on Monday, his 24th of the season. Matt Mangini struck for two RBI in the game, and went 2-for-4 at the dish with a run scored. Mangini has hit in 12 of his last 13 games.
