Eight Hitmen to Attend NHL Training Camps

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club today announced eight Hitmen players will head to National Hockey League training camps.

Of the eight players attending NHL training camps, seven are drafted prospects while goaltender Brendan Burke has received a free agent invite to the Anaheim Ducks training camp.

The Hitmen, 3-0 in the Western Hockey League pre-season, continue exhibition play with a pair of games this weekend against the Edmonton Oil Kings. The two clubs will first meet at Servus Credit Union Place in St. Albert on Saturday, Sept. 12, in a 7:00 p.m. start before returning to Calgary for the first-ever pre-season game at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Sunday, Sept. 13, with a 3:00 puck drop. Tickets, $5 for adults and $2 for kids 12 and under (includes convenience fees), are available now at Ticketmaster locations, the Scotiabank Saddledome box office and online at Ticketmaster.ca.
