Hagerstown, MD - Six of the Drive's (25-26) seven batters that recorded a hit, tallied a multi-hit effort, and Yeiper Castillo and Anatanaer Batista limited the Hagerstown Suns (27-23) to just three hits, sealing a 6-1 victory Sunday night.

It didn't take Greenville long to get on the scoreboard, scoring a pair of runs in the top of the second. Michael Almanzar led off the inning with a ground rule double, and scored as Zach Gentile laced his first of two triples. Vladimir Frias added an RBI-single.

The Drive increased their advantage to three runs an inning later, as Jeremy Hazelbaker tripled to lead off the frame and scored as Derrik Gibson followed with a single.

Although the Drive were held hitless and scoreless over the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings, Castillo (3-3) kept the Suns offense in check during his outing. The right-hander allowed a leadoff bunt single in the bottom of the first, then retired the next 11 Hagerstown batters.

The Suns tallied another leadoff single in the bottom of the fifth, and recorded their only run when J.R. Higley led off the bottom of the sixth with a solo homer. Castillo ended his night by sitting down the final five batters he faced, before turning over the game to Batista.

It was an uneventful appearance for Batista, who was perfect in the game's final two innings, striking out three of the six batters he faced.

The Drive's three-inning scoring drought came to an end in the bottom of the seventh when Gibson and Chris McGuiness hit back-to-back doubles. Greenville also added single runs in the eighth and ninth innings.

The eighth inning was reminiscent of the second, as Almanzar led off with a double and scored on another Gentile triple. An inning later Hazelbaker doubled and scored on McGuiness' two-bagger, the final two of the Drive's eight extra-base hits in the game.

The Drive will look for a series victory, as they conclude their four-game set with the Suns on Monday at 2:05 PM. Right-hander Ryan Pressly will toe the rubber for Greenville (1-3, 3.16 ERA).

Following their road trip, the Drive return home to Fluor Field on Saturday, June 5th for a four-game series with the Augusta GreenJackets. For more information regarding single-game tickets, group outings, and luxury accommodations, visit www.GreenvilleDrive.com or call (864) 240-4500.
