ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

January 6, 2019 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release


PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Sunday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Orlando's Monfredo fined

Orlando's Mike Monfredo has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #460, South Carolina at Orlando, on Jan.5.

Monfredo was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for spearing under Rule #62.5 at 19:56 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Norfolk's Rumble fined, suspended

Norfolk's Brandon Rumble has been suspended pending a review and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #455, Norfolk at Adirondack, on Jan. 5.

Rumble was assessed a major penalty for boarding under Rule #41.3 at 18:50 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Rumble will miss Norfolk's game at Manchester today (Jan. 6) and any further discipline will be announced later this week.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Worcester's Turcotte fined, suspended

Worcester's Yannick Turcotte has been suspended pending a review and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of actions in ECHL Game #459, Worcester at Greenville, on Jan. 5.

Turcotte was assessed a game misconduct for continuing altercation under Rule #46.5 at 19:35 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Turcotte will miss Worcester's game at Greenville today (Jan. 6) and any further discipline will be announced later this week.

Worcester's Vanier fined, suspended

Worcester's Alex Vanier has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #459, Worcester at Greenville, on Jan. 5.

Vanier is fined and suspended Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 19:35 of the third period.

Vanier will miss Worcester's game at Greenville today (Jan. 6).
