ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Sunday announced that Allen's Reid Halabi and Colorado's Curt Gogol have both been suspended pending a review and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of their actions in ECHL Game #787, Allen at Colorado, on March 5.
Halabi and Gogol both received match penalties for head butting and game misconducts under Rule #70.3 at 19:48 of the first period.
Halabi will miss Allen's game at Rapid City today and Gogol will miss Colorado's game against Fort Wayne today. Any further discipline will be announced later this week.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
