ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Sunday announced the following fines and suspensions resulting from ECHL Game #424, Wheeling at Cincinnati, on Jan. 25.

Wheeling's Chaz Johnson has been suspended indefinitely pending a review and has been an undisclosed amount under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline for his actions at 13:59 of the third period.

Johnson will miss Wheeling's game against Cincinnati today (Jan. 26) and any further discipline will be announced later this week.

Cincinnati's David MacDonald has been suspended indefinitely pending a review and has been fined an undisclosed amount under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 13:59 of the third period.

MacDonald will miss Cincinnati's game at Wheeling today (Jan. 26) and any further discipline will be announced later this week.

Wheeling's Patrick McGrath has been fined an undisclosed amount under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 13:59 of the third period.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Wheeling head coach Clark Donatelli has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of failing to control his bench at 13:59 of the third period.

Elmira's Bellamy fined, suspended

Elmira's Corey Bellamy has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #425, Fort Wayne at Elmira, on Jan. 25.

Bellamy was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for charging under Rule #42.5 at 13:34 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Bellamy will miss Elmira's game against Fort Wayne today (Jan. 26).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Florida's Landry fined, suspended

Florida's Charles Landry has been suspended pending a review and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #428, Florida at South Carolina, on Jan. 25.

Landry was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for elbowing under Rule #46.5 at 19:29 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Landry will miss Florida's game at Orlando today (Jan. 26) and any further discipline will be announced later this week.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Toledo's Bogosian fined, suspended

Toledo's Aaron Bogosian has been suspended pending a review and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #429, Reading at Toledo, on Jan. 25.

Bogosian is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of his cross-checking penalty at 5:54 of the second period.

Bogosian will miss Toledo's game against Greenville today (Jan. 26) and any further discipline will be announced later this week.
