Eastern League and Diamond Pro Extend Partnership

PORTLAND, MAINE - The Eastern League of Professional Baseball Clubs, Inc. is pleased to announce their partnership with Diamond Pro, a leading provider of infield conditioners and other professional groundskeeping products, in recognizing the top sports field manager in the Eastern League will continue for the 2011 season. This marks the fourth season that the Eastern League and Diamond Pro have teamed up to recognize the top sports field manager in the league.
The recipient of the 2011 Eastern League Diamond Pro Sports Field Manager of the Year Award will be announced during the final month of the 2011 season with the winner being honored during a pregame ceremony at his home ballpark. The winner of the 2011 Eastern League Diamond Pro Sports Field Manager of the Year Award will be chosen based on the overall quality of the work of the sports turf manager and their staff. A number of factors will be taken into account when choosing the winner, including but not limited to the set up and preparation of the field, the overall quality of the field and the professionalism of the grounds crew.
"We are very excited to be continuing our partnership with Diamond Pro to recognize the outstanding work that is done by all of the sports field managers in our league," said Eastern League President Joe McEacharn. "Without the hard work and dedication of these individuals and their crews, our teams would not be in a position to provide fans the exciting baseball action they come out to our ballparks to see throughout the spring and summer months."
