
Earthquakes Host Seattle Sounders FC Tonight

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (8-9-9; 33 pts.) face Seattle Sounders FC (14-5-6; 48 pts.) at PayPal Park tonightat 7:30 p.m. PT . The match will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Bay Area Plus, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.
The Quakes hold a 11-14-8 all-time record against Seattle Sounders FC, including a record of 5-4-5 at home. San Jose and Seattle have traded 1-0 road victories in their first two meetings this season.
Seattle has an 8-2-2 road record in 2021 and are 5-1-0 in their last six matches away from home. Seattle currently sits atop of the Western Conference standings (48 pts) but are closely trailed by Sporting Kansas City (46 pts.) and the Colorado Rapids (45 pts.).
The Quakes are just three points below the playoff line and will look to their earn third straight victory tonight after consecutive wins over Austin FC (Sept. 18) and LAFC (Sept. 25). Midfielder Chofis has scored six goals in the last three matches, resulting in three consecutive MLS Team of the Week selections.
