Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - CF Montréal and Canada Soccer announced Wednesday the details of the Canadian Championship semifinals. The Montreal side will face Canadian Premier League club Forge FC on Wednesday, October 27 at 7:30pm (One Soccer, 919sports.ca, TSN 690).
Following a coin toss held Tuesday morning to determine the location of the match, CF Montréal will continue its title defence during this single-leg elimination match at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton. As both clubs wanted to host the game, a draw was held per Canada Soccer regulations.
In the quarterfinals, Montreal defeated HFX Wanderers FC 3-1 on September 22 at the Wanderers Grounds in Halifax, while Forge FC overcame Valour FC 2-1 on September 15 in Hamilton.
In the other semifinal, Toronto FC will face Pacific FC on Wednesday, November 3 at 7:30pm at BMO Field.
The date and location of the Canadian Championship final will be announced in November. The winner of the Voyageurs Cup will advance to the 2022 Concacaf Champions League.
