ANCHORAGE, AK - The Colorado Eagles (29-20-6-4) two third period goals were not enough to overcome the Alaska Aces (39-17-2-3) as they won their second game in a row, 4-2, at Sullivan Arena on Saturday evening.

Alaska forward Peter Sivak found the back of the net first off of a cross-slot pass to give the Aces the early 1-0 lead just 1:27 into the first frame.

With less than four minutes left in the second period, Aces forward Brett Findlay skated, uncontested, toward Eagles netminder Dustin Butler and scored Alaska's second goal of the game to pump their lead, 2-0.

Eagles forward Kevin Ulanski buried a power-play goal with a slapshot from the top of the left circle to cut the Aces lead, 2-1, just one minute into the third stanza. Aces defenseman Sean Curry gave Alaska their two-goal lead back,3-1, 8:34 into the third beating Butler glove side. Fifteen minutes and twenty seconds into the third, Colorado forward Greg Gardner beat Aces goalie Connor Knapp five-hole to make it a one-goal game again, 3-2. The Aces finalized their 4-2 win with an empty net goal from the red line from Alaska forward Jordan Morrison.
