The Bulls play the opener of a four-game series against the Charlotte Knights in the first series of a six-game homestand. Durham has won a season-high seven games in a row, but is still just 19-23 since the All-Star break. The Bulls have dropped 39 of their previous 66 contests to go from a 2.0-game lead in the IL South to a 7.5-game deficit. Charlotte - the Chicago White Sox top affiliate - has won three games in a row after dropping five of its previous seven contests. Still, the Knights are just 10-14 in August, and enter today in 3rd place in the IL South, 4.5 games back of Norfolk for the division lead and 6.0 games back of Columbus for the Wild Card.
