
Pigs, RailRiders Set for Doubleheader

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders are set for a doubleheader on Thursday at PNC Field in Moosic. First pitch of game one is set for 5:35 p.m.
LHP Jesse Biddle (2-3, 5.85) will be on the bump for the IronPigs in game one. The Philadelphia native got a no-decision on Friday at Pawtucket when he allowed three runs on eight hits to go along with two walks and three strikeouts in five innings of work. Tonight will mark Biddle's second start of the year against the RailRiders. On July 28 at PNC Field, the southpaw got a no-decision after giving up two runs (one earned) on one hit while walking five and fanning four over 5.0 IP.
RHP Kyle Davies (9-7, 3.52) gets the ball for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in game one. Davies earned the win on Friday vs. Rochester after surrendering four runs on nine hits to go along with two walks and four strikeouts in 6.1 IP. The right-hander has allowed two earned runs or less in seven of his last eight starts.
In game two, RHP Jason Berken (5-8, 4.11) is expected to make the start for the Pigs. Berken's last outing came in relief on Friday at Pawtucket when he was tagged for four runs (three earned) on five hits in an inning of work. His last start was on July 31 vs. Norfolk at Coca-Cola Park when he received a no-decision after giving up five runs on 10 hits to go along with a walk and three strikeouts over 5.2 IP.
LHP Chaz Hebert (1-0, 1.80) heads to the mound for the RailRiders in the nightcap. The southpaw's last start was on Saturday with High-A Tampa and he got a no-decision after allowing a run on three hits in six innings of work vs. Daytona. Tonight marks the second start of Hebert's Triple-A career with both having come against Lehigh Valley. In his Triple-A debut on July 30 at Coca-Cola Park, Hebert gave up just one run on four hits in 5.0 IP to defeat the Pigs.
