CINCINNATI, Ohio - Frederic Cassivi made 28 saves as the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks blanked the Hamilton Bulldogs, 2-0, Wednesday at Cincinnati Gardens.

Joffrey Lupul and Cory Pecker scored for Cincinnati, which has won five straight games and six of its last seven. The winning streak matches the Ducks' longest since they won five in a row February 19 to March 1, 2003.

Lupul's goal 4:10 into the second period broke a scoreless tie and was his second game-winner in as many nights and his team-leading fourth of the season. The seventh overall pick in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft now has seven goals in his last nine games after scoring just four times in his first 24 games.

Pecker's goal - his first in his last 41 games with Cincinnati - was scored into an empty net with 35 seconds remaining in the third period.

Cassivi stopped 12 shots in the first period, nine shots in the second period and seven more in the third en route to his first shutout of the season and the 10th of his professional career.

Yann Danis stopped 34 shots for the Bulldogs, who have lost four of their last five games (1-3-0-1).

The Ducks travel to San Antonio for a two-game series with the Rampage starting Friday at 8 p.m. at the SBC Center.
